Welcome, and thank you so much for stopping by today! Health and wellness has always been really important to me, and I’ve always been an active and relatively fit person.

I have 2 kids – 12 years old and 7 years old, who have lots of energy and keep me on my toes everyday!


I loved yoga from the very first class that I took because it actually helped me relax (yep, Type A personality here)! I began to look at yoga class at the YMCA as my “mental break” from being a stay-at-home mom, and went from taking 1 class per week to 2 classes per week, and following along with YouTube videos when I wasn’t able to make it to a class.

After about a year of taking classes, I knew I wanted to learn as much as I could so that I could do more yoga at home and so that I could teach classes at the YMCA. I took a 200 hour teacher training, then a 300 hour teacher training afterwards. I’m certified to teach Hatha Yoga, but I’ve experimented with lots of different styles: Hot yoga, Bikram yoga, Vinyasa yoga, Gentle yoga, and Restorative yoga.

While in teacher training and while teaching classes, I pushed myself into lots of poses that my body wasn’t ready for or isn’t built for. And it wasn’t anyone’s fault but my own…..

Unfortunately, I saw many of my students also pushing themselves into poses, and practicing to the point of pain. Hopefully, readers will learn ways to make yoga simple and gentle – with yoga props and modifications to poses – so that you won’t have to experience pain and can enjoy the many benefits of yoga.
