Why Do a Private Yoga Session?
Private yoga is great if you are just beginning a practice. It allows you to learn the basic poses and the correct alignment so that your transition into a class is easier.
It’s also helpful if you’re uncomfortable with practicing in a classroom setting for whatever reason – no need to explain!
If you have specific limitations, due to injury or pain, the practice can be specifically tailored to your body.
What Does a Session Consist of?
Sessions are 60 minutes long. They start with a relaxing guided meditation to calm your mind and center your energy. Next, we connect mind and body with slow, deliberate movements. Last is 1 or more restorative poses. These will vary based on the props available. (If it is an in-person session, I will bring props with me.)
What Do I Need for a Session?
In-Person – Yourself! I will bring mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps.
Online – Yourself, a mat, blocks, a bolster, blankets and a strap. (I suggest that you purchase a bolster and some blocks, but we can work with other household items if you’re not ready to purchase them yet. Other household items that can work: a beach towel, 2 books that are roughly the same size, a couple pillows, and a long strap or tie or even a dog leash!)
How Much Does it Cost?
A 60 minute in person session is $60.
A 60 minute online session is $40.
